Coffee Cup Mondays: Hello November 2024!

Welcome to another Coffee Cup Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and my Blog last Friday, as it was filled with some fun stuff. You can always go back and enjoy any post I have already written at any time by clicking on it. The information is always timeless. I truly can NOT believe we are approaching November in a few days! The time is really flying by, no doubt. We had some really nice “Fall” type weather days with cool nights last week, which I love and have enjoyed. But all good things come to an end, as we are approaching the cold weather. That is why I am getting things together for a hot beverage bar.

You all know that I love my tea, but I also love a good hot chocolate in the cold weather as long as it’s interesting! I like peppermint bomb candies and cinnamon sticks to stir and even vanilla and caramel syrups to put in them and marshmallows are a MUST. It just makes winter a lot more fun to look forward to interesting beverages and cozy throws on the couch watching a movie with popcorn and possibly watching some snow fall…as long as we are inside with NO place to go! I also love a “spiked” hot chocolate, tea or mulled cider on the weekend a well! Just add some Amaretto, Whiskey, Kahlua, honey, lemon, anything you like to make it a “Hot Toddy!” Makes for a nice winter warming libation.

Hot White Russian Coffee (Click arrow for list of ingredients)
  • Hot Coffee
  • Vodka
  • Kahlua
  • Cream

Add vodka and Kahlua to a cup of hot coffee, add creamer of your choice, top with whipped cream and enjoy.

Okay, so let’s get some inspiration to setup a Hot Chocolate Bar of our own, and I will list the things I have acquired for mine so far. I got this inspiration from Marzia over at The Little Spice Jar, as this is the kind of bar I am looking to set up this winter. Go check out her page @: https://littlespicejar.com/hot-chocolate-bar-party/

I LOVE how she has everything in mason jars with a little spoon so you can help yourself to the topping you like or want to try. I also love how it’s all contained in a tray for easy transport, and when you are done you can just pop the top on the mason jars and put the tray on a shelf until the next time you want hot chocolate. That form of ease is right up my alley. So, the following are the items I have to start my hot “beverage” bar as I will call it, now that libations have been included.

As an Amazon Associate, I make a small commission on qualified sales of Amazon items.

Now I just have to look for the perfect tray that will fit my items and also fit the shelf of my stand (that I am still not done decorating) so it can stay on it all Winter long for when the urge arrives for a hot beverage! This is the perfect time to add one of the electric tea kettles I was talking about in last Mondays blog (go check them out on that post).

To be honest, I am looking forward to Winter for the first time in a very long time. Time for a cozy, long, Winters Nap…with good food, drinks, and FUN! See you on Friday!
