Coffee Cup Monday: Football, Food & Fun Season

Monday Morning Coffee/ tea  Ginger Cinnamon Tea

  • Brew water in a tea maker with fresh cut ginger and whole cinnamon sticks.
  • Pour into a glass coffee cup and serve with fresh lemon slices.
  • This is my ‘go to’ tea because ginger is so good for you in so many ways. The warmth in the Fall is lovely.

Fall Thoughts

The sounds of fall leaves crunching underneath me while I take my daily walks paired with the crisp autumn air, make for such a beautiful atmosphere. When I was a little girl, my dad’s flannel shirts were my absolute favorite, so much so that he knew they were and gifted me a jacket of his. Flannel and the perfect pair of boots can keep you nice and cozy during the cooler weather in fall. As I’ve mentioned before, fall foliage here in New England is absolutely breathtaking, and when I’m not taking my walks, I’m enjoying a nice warm cup of tea with a captivating fireplace scene playing on my television.

Another American favorite for well, most of us, is without a doubt Football. The appetizers, dips & drinks are probably the best you’ll have during the year. From bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese, buffalo chicken dip, chicken wings (gotta have ’em!), mulled wines and ciders to get you feeling all nice and toasty… who doesn’t love this time of the year?Despite allergies taking their toll on me, since my younger years fall has always been my comfort season.

Featured on the last blog post were a few fancy Amazon finds, and as usual I’ll supply you with a few more in this one. Introducing colors such as plum, burgundy, deep red tones and burnt oranges into your home with decor from Amazon will make for the perfect autumnal environment in your home. Hanging string lights around can make everyone feel at-home, complete with a fuzzy throw and sink into the couch with a stack of nachos watching the games back to back. Or better yet, take advantage of that four way view on your preferred sports streaming station!

Don’t forget the popcorn!

We only make it whole kernel popped in oil and we have been loving topping with cheese and garlic flavorings.

We buy the 8lb Orville Redenbacher’s for $13.00 and it lasts so long.

Monday, Monday~

Thank you for hanging out with me this Monday! I am off to make dinner, baked garlic chicken with spaghetti carbonara! I’ll let you know how it was. Have a good week!
