Fall Colors & Warmth in decor
I am in love with the open concept living style. It’s so inviting and not closed off from the rest of the world. I would for sure put one of those Samsung Frame TVs above the fireplace that looks like a painting when not in use.
I would also add some velvet drapes on the windows framing the fireplace, in a rich fall burgundy or red wine color for drama.

Beautiful Fall Landscaping.

Everything Fall! Mums, pumpkins, colorful leaves make everything beautiful.

Ina Garten from the Food network (Barefoot Contessa in the Hamptons fame) is my favorite chef/cook. She is like me, not trained but called chef no less as she is a fantastic cook. These are her recipe links, and I have tried each and every one and they are great! Since I am not cooking at the moment, I want to share my favorite chefs and recipes. Enjoy~

Parker’s Beef Stew Recipe

There’s nothing better on a cold fall/winter night than a warm bowl of beef & vegetable goodness that will stick to your ribs! It warms you up inside and fills your belly just in time for a nap on the chaise. 🙂

Fall Butternut Squash Soup

To me, there is NOTHING better than soup itself. I love almost all soup and can eat it every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This soup is so creamy and satisfying to the pallet.

Pumpkin Mousse Parfaits

It’s nice to end each meal with dessert if you like dessert. This parfait is not too sweet, not tart and full of flavor of the season. Nice and creamy and velvety with a little crunch.

Home is where the heart is
My daughter is always telling me that home is where “I” am and it always makes my heart glad. She says that I have made every place we have lived “Home” for us and have done it very well. I spoke about my favorite apartment we had with the galley kitchen and how I still have dreams about it and living there. I would love to move back there one day or find a home that is similar to its layout.
All the places we have lived have been so very different in ‘style’ that it’s kept me challenged but I really like it that way. It makes me work and I love the “Aha” moment when I finally get something that “fits” with the space and my ideas. I look forward to sharing some decor ideas with you on this new series Weekend Edition as well as cooking and venturing out to eat and taking you with us to our favorite places.

Thanks for being here
I hope you are having or will have a great weekend and be sure to find something new to keep you busy and motivated. Hibernation time is about to hit us but look at it as a time to catch up on some reading, cooking, decorating. Enjoy~
