Weekend Edition Vol. 3: ~Daylight Savings Time~

I Hate to See October Go…

You all know that Fall is my favorite season and I really hate to see all the beauty starting to fade away. But, time moves on. I am trying to mentally prepare myself for the change to winter. I am always so cold lately I dread waking up to a cold house. New warm PJS and Slippers are on my agenda right now.

As you can see by the Blog Post, I am experimenting with a new look for the Weekend Edition. I am not exactly sure on what direction I am taking at the moment, but I hope you are liking it so far. It will more than likely change many times before I am done and satisfied.

I am looking forward to a new toaster oven to take the place of my microwave but it’s not just an ordinary toaster oven. It’s actually 2 ovens in 1 that cook at different temperatures so you can cook 2 different meals at the same time and schedule the oven to have them done at the same time. It also does so many different things (bake, broil, reheat, keep warm, bagel, toast, air fry, convection bake, pizza, air roast, whole roast, and dehydrate) that I cannot wait to get it! My microwave is a disaster! It’s truly on its last leg. I’ll show it to you when I get it. Since there is no counter space nor cabinets in the “Steppingstone” I have to get creative and find a storage unit to build around it. I had one for the microwave, but I am now using it as part of my coffee bar, so I have to get something else.

One of my next projects is a winter display that I want to put under my glass coffee table. I will elaborate on that later but here are some photos of what I am thinking of.

I really like the simplicity of this one and the neutral cool colors. I just want it as a Winter decor item, so I don’t want it Christmassy.

I want it to light up with the cordless led lights from the Dollar Tree. It would look really nice under my glass table, and the light would be so warming.

Fall Into Winter

What follows Winter? Yessss…BUT, until then, we must get through it. Try to find things that will help you accept the inevitable and try to enjoy new things. Challenge yourself to bake something you never have before, you just might find you like baking. It sure is the time for it.
